BIO

Emile Devereaux is an internationally exhibiting artist who works at the intersection of electronic media arts production and theory. His artistic practice includes interactive electronics installation, 3D animation, and digital media. His exhibitions, screenings and lectures have been on display in nine countries in North/South America and Europe, including such venues as Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Williams College Museum of Art, in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and De Fabriek in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Recently, he worked on a site-specific video installation in Majdanpek, Serbia, and was invited as a specialist in video art to lecture at the University of Montenegro. His sculptural video object, Osmosis, was included in the group exhibition Subjected Culture: Interruptions and Resistance on Femaleness, on display in four museums throughout Argentina from November 2006 to May 2008.

Emile serves on the Board of Directors of MIX NYC, and has received a U.S. Fulbright Scholar Fellowship for the 2008-09 academic year.
